ABOUT the  PROJECT

In partner schools and other countries around Europe, learning about human values is a popular topic because we live in a world where people have started to lose their values: they are becoming more isolated, self-centered, cruel, intolerant and violence and cruelty are increasing rapidly. We want to take action on this social matter as responsible people. In this project students will research their cultural elements with values in mind, they will transfer those cultural elements to other students from the partner countries by using digital materials, creating videos, acting , via competitions, etc. They will become aware of social norms, of customs and traditions in partner countries, understand and become aware of the importance of values for a better future. Our students will be motivated to become socially active and responsible citizens, to make new friends, improve their ICT and language skills, understand the policy, targets, and legal bodies of the EU. Good communication, good cooperation, planning and a strong sound management will be the key factors for success in this project. In the long run, we hope to create better citizens and human beings for the future, to create in our surroundings an atmosphere where the values in education have importance and even are a permanent part of regular curriculum, to create a better, more tolerable, more generous, more peaceful society. To sum up, in a world where generation gap, social isolation, violence, intolerence, self-centered life, cruelty, etc. are increasing rapidly, Culture Covers Values is a project ERASMUS+ project (No. 2020-1-LV01-KA229-077425_1 ) aiming at helping to transmit intercultural values of Europe and make new generations be aware of their positive cultural elements and values that are needed for a better world.

   AIMS

We aim to make our students, teachers, staff, parents and the third parties;
• be aware of the social norms of the environment they live in
• have an active role in society
• have a chance to discover the Positive Values
• have a chance to improve their personality in a positive way
• have a chance to understand the future by analysing the past
• use technology in a true way
• be motivated to search and produce
• improve their foreign languages
• meet new people and integrate with other cultures
• learn a lot about other cultures
• learn a lot about other countries, people, lifestyle, priorities etc.
• have a chance to express themselves
• be better citizens
• feel better even in severe conditions and unpleasant situations
• be tolerant and have the capacity to use emphaty
• be couraged to take into action on social matters We will reach all those objectives through lots of different activities during LTTAs, indoor&outdoor activities at schools, virtual activities etc.

WORK PROCESS

In order to reach the objectives of this Project, We will perform International, Local and Blended (Virtual) activities.
As main activities, we will have 5 LTTAs;
1st Ltta: “Love, Respect, Tolerance”
2nd Ltta: “Justice – Honesty – Amity”
3rd Ltta: “Responsibility, Cooperation and Sedulity”
4th Ltta: “Generosity, Helpfullness, Emphaty”
5th Ltta: “Patriotism, Kindness, Loyalty”
Methodologically, During the LTTAs, Ss will work on those Values by searching their past and current Culture (Traditions, customs, quotes, beliefs,religious rituals..etc). They are going to prepare concrete materials such as presentations, videos, sketches etc. . Then, They are going to create a comon material such as a sample video dramatising the Values in that LTTA in International groups. Thanks to LTTAs, Ss will be aware of Cultural heritage of Europe and improve their language and ICT skills

EXPECTED RESULTS

Besides the main activities during the LTTAs, here are some examples of acts that will add a value to our project aims;

*Creating videos, presentations, calendars will lead to Improve ICT usage, Learn cooperating
*”Short Movie Competition, Photo Competition, Snapword Competition Improve” will lead to Artistic skills
*Social, Cultural visits will lead to Social Inclusion, Improve Citizenship (visiting Oldies House, Animal shelters etc.)
*Project magazine will lead to Productivity, Dissemination
We will have dissemination activities such as “Visiting nearby schools and local authorities, having informative meetings at school, creating products special to our Project display. Also, we will have an e-twinning Project with the same title that it will help us to disseminate the Project. A larger group will benefit from our project outputs since we will uploaded all the outputs into our twinspace.
